Overview

Wheatbelt PEAC is a supplementary program for Year 5 and 6 students of high learning potential which provides opportunities for social interaction with other like-minded children to enjoy an intellectually rigorous and challenging program. Students are encouraged to develop higher order process skills, work on open-ended activities, undergo self and peer evaluation and reflection of performance.

Program Entry

Most students enter PEAC at the beginning of Year 5 as a result of Year 4 PEAC testing.  Students are invited to be a part of the PEAC program based on their performance in this test. The test is not repeated in future years, as once children have been identified for PEAC they retain access – assuming their performance is satisfactory in each course they attend.
